Ingo Böhme

OK, let's start ...

I started as an indie developer in a time, when the word "computer" was still seen as "just a nerd's subject". 1978 I started developing in Pascal at the university of Trier (Germany) 's mainframe and on a Dietz midsize computer with an 8" 128 kb floppy disks and even less RAM.

Since then a lot of "water ran down the river Rhine" (german saying). I was part of all trends. The first Apple II with the UCSD Pascal system to IBM PCs and the remakes from ROC. I still loved my mother tongue Pascal, but switched to database languages and basic development until I wrote my first book (in german) "From Visual Basic to Delphi". In this time and for 20 more years, I worked as editor and freelancer for multiple german IT magazines and wrote a couple of books - but never stopped developing, as its not only my job, but my passion.

When the print media became a sinking ship, I deserted and got back to my roots (and a better salary ;-)

Being infected by the MAC virus (There are no viruses on the mac, but the mac itself is ;-), I developed a couple of apps during leisure time (which you can see in the app store when looking for the acronym of Ingo Boehme Mobile ... IBMobile ... ;)

Working for my employer (Cephei AG, a german software developer) for 10 years and helping DAX30 companies realising their mobile ideas, I came to a point, where my kids got old enough to live by themselves. And I was no longer bound to Munich - the best city of Germany btw.

So I moved to Switzerland - to the medieval town of Zofingen - from where I enjoy swift, swiftui ... flutter ... and ... the alps .... ooooooohhhh ... and before I forget: The amazing universe of AI, GenAI, AI Agents like LangChain/-graph and so much more
