Jobroom Helper Safari Extension (iOS & macOS)

Autofill work-effort entries

Read a job posting on LinkedIn or jobs.ch, then paste it straight into your Swiss Job-Room work-effort form. No more retyping the same details for every application.

If you are registered with a RAV/ORP, every application has to be logged in Job-Room: job title, employer, location, the link to the posting, the date you applied — plus the same four questions, every single time. JobRoom Helper does that typing for you.

HOW IT WORKS

  1. Open a job posting on LinkedIn or jobs.ch and click "READ job" in the Safari extension popup.
  2. Open your work-effort form on job-room.ch and click "PASTE into Job-Room".
  3. Check the entries and submit the form yourself.

WHAT GETS FILLED

• Job title and employer • Location and the PLZ / ORT city field • The link to the job posting • The application date • The four standard answers: no RAV assignment, full-time workload, result still open, applied electronically

THE CITY FIELD, HANDLED

PLZ / ORT in Job-Room is an autocomplete that does not reliably accept plain typed text. JobRoom Helper picks the matching entry for you and knows the usual Swiss spelling variants — Geneva, Genf and Genève; Zürich, Zurich and Zurigo; Lausanne; Bern and Berne. A leading four-digit postal code is handled too.

YOU STAY IN CONTROL

The extension fills the form and stops there. It never submits anything. After pasting, the popup lists exactly which fields were filled and which ones it could not find, so you know what is left to complete by hand.

PRIVACY

JobRoom Helper stores one thing on your device: the last job you read, in Safari's local extension storage. No account, no analytics, no tracking, and no job data is sent to the developer or to anyone else. "Clear data" removes the stored job whenever you want.

The extension needs access to LinkedIn and jobs.ch to read job details, and to job-room.ch to fill your form. It only runs when you click a button in the popup.

FOUR LANGUAGES

The popup is available in English, German, French and Italian, with a switcher you can change at any time.

GOOD TO KNOW

JobRoom Helper is a Safari extension. After installing, enable it in Safari's settings — the app itself only shows you how. Supported job sites are currently LinkedIn and jobs.ch.
